Amithi" (ah.me.thee) is a Sanskrit word and it means Boundless or Without Limit. To us it symbolizes the boundless strength we all have within us.

Our mission is to impact the healing process by promoting relaxation using the arts, meditation, exercise, education and community service with our global partners.
Our philosophy is based on scientific research which shows that stress and anxiety impedes the function of the immune system. We believe that managing stress and anxiety is as important as medicine or procedures. We are each responsible for our well-being and therefore must become active participants in managing our health. There are many activities and lifestyle changes that we can embrace to manage stress and anxiety. However, what works for one person may not work for another.
At Amithi, we offer a spectrum of programs that have been proven to reduce stress and anxiety. These programs incorporate the arts (visual art, crafts, music, dance and poetry), meditation, movement exercises and nutritional education. At the heart of Amithi is the individual, who is unique with their own personality and preferences. Understanding which activities bring about relaxation for you is the first step towards designing a game plan that you can activate each time you are stressed. In order to figure out which relaxation activities will work for you, we begin your journey at Amithi with an exercise of self-awareness.
In the United States, Amithi is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization supported by the generous contributions of individuals and foundations. In India, Amithi is a Public Charitable Trust. Registration is pending.
